Update. I finally plan on retiring at the end of this year when I'll be 70. Counting down the days !!!!!!!!!!!!! Life After high school I moved to Whittier, CA to attend a data entry trade school. I now live in Pasadena, CA just right off the Rose Parade route. For 26 years I worked for a HMO called Kaiser Permanente. I retired from there in Oct. 2002 and took time off until Jan. 2005 at which time I went back to school to enhance my knowledge in the medical field of insurance billing & coding. Along with that course I am taking a direct-learning course for an Associates in Health Care Management. I have also attended Pasadena City College for various computer classes and classes in the medical field. I am still single and don't plan on changing it. I also do volunteer work for the Pasadena Police Department which I really enjoy doing. With all the studying and volunteering I am kept pretty busy. I plan on going back to work soon even though I really don't want to. That's about it folks!!! August 2006. I have been working at City of Hope since November 2005 as a coder/biller/posting payments and a lot of other stuff in the outpatient pharmacy. City of Hope is a National Cancer Center and is involved in many projects and research. It's a good place to work. I have also taken a certification examination to become a Certified Professional Coder and passed it. Now, the job openings are greater and the pay is better.
