Karen's Story
Wow, it's not easy catching up after 44 years! Let's see: worked as a legal secretary in DC from '69-76; Phila. from 76-79; Denver from 79-88; north NJ from 88-90; Raleigh, NC 90-00; Peachtree City, GA (suburb of ATL) 00-07; Aiken, SC '07-present. Met my husband Gary shortly before our 20th reunion (only one I went to 'cause as you can see I'm not around much). Married Gary in '87; that was my first marriage, his second. No kids except his daughter lived with us until she was ready to get out on her own; she's now ...Expand for more
in Boston area. My beloved Gary died 6/21/07 at the age of 59 when we were living in Peachtree City. Mom and Dad, my niece and nephew all lived in Aiken, SC so I joined them shortly after his death. Mom and Dad are 93 and 92, respectively. My niece is married with a 15 year old boy, and my nephew has 3 boys from 4-11. I now work in Columbia, SC (about an hour commute) and live in Aiken with our two dogs (my kids). Come visit -- it's a lovely little town.
