Karen's Story

Life I've been married to the same guy since1973 and we have two children. A daughter, Rhonda, and a son, Byron. Rhonda received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree (with Honors) from UT Health Science in Memphis, TN 2004. She also has a BS in Biology from Union University in Jackson, TN. She is living in northern KY and was married October, 2011. Our son was married for about 1 1/2 years and served in the Army - stationed in Germany. We moved to Leesburg, FL December, 2005. All of my immediate family is deceased. Dad died 2/3/94, Mom on 12/21/02 and my brother, Leonard, (CHS '65) six months later on July 4, 2003. I'm currently working at FBC Leesburg as a Ministry Assistant. We love to travel and I take lots of pictures to put in my scrap-books which is one of my hobbies. We also enjoy bowling. We live in a retirement community and have lots of activities to keep us busy and enjoy...Expand for more
the many friends we have made since moving to central FL. The Lord has been good to us and hope He has to each of you as well! Would love to hear from fellow classmates and friends of CHS!! Workplace Started out May, 1969 in Auto Dept. at Bank of St. Louis in Missouri and later changed became Consumer Loans. Eventually became secretary to Vice-President of the Dept. where I stayed until moving downstairs to New Accounts and Personal Banker position. Moved to northwest TN in 1977 and was stay-at-home Mom for a while. Husband and I started a Debt Collection Business after moving to Tennessee which we operated for ten years. Also started managing real estate property for a group of local investors. Husband got into buying real estate for us which he now manages full time. We also helped manage a local Dairy Queen for a number of years. I continue to work which I enjoy very much.
