Karen's Story

To be quite honest, I don't think anyone will remember me at all from grade school. I was pretty quiet then and so shy,I'd walk across the street if I saw anyone walking toward me. I was pretty much out there in high school. What a nut!! I went from Maple Leaf to Rainier Beach. It was a Junior /Senior H.S. at the time. Then we moved north and I went to Hamilton for 6 months and then the school dividing lines got moved and I went to Wilson for 9th grade. Then to Lincoln. I went to art school, became an art director at a couple of agencies I was a demo derby girl for a couple of races (that was enoug...Expand for more
h for me). I stayed at a monastery in Japan. I've river rafted in Idaho. I've been on a couple of cruises to the Caribbean...loved that. Lived in Alaska for four years,Yakima for two years loved that (then).. I got to model a little bit, play the violin a little bit. I started a business with my husband, and now I'm a painter with work in a gallery in Edmonds. I've also had lots of other jobs along the way to help keep the flow. What a journey! I have six children (his, mine and ours). And I have ten grandchildren. Life has been very good to me. My biggest surprise in life is that I lived so long.
