Karen's Story

Where to begin? I have been to college on the 25 year plan, moved more than eight times - never out of the Rochester region, had two kids, worked numerous jobs for different employers, got divorced, etc. I currently work for RIT, Kate Gleason College of Engineering communications specialist. Never a dull moment here. I have six grandchildren, but my kids don't live here in town so...Expand for more
I don't see them nearly as much as I would like. I live in Irondequoit close to the high school! Can't seem to get out of town! Jobs I have had: waitress, bank teller, hospital unit clerk, sold real estate, fund raiser. I also had my own pottery business for abut 16 years. I made wheel=thrown functional ware of my own design. My life has not been a straight line path for sure.

Happy New Year Everyone! I am very glad to be home safe and sound after doing a double 360 on Highway 81 on Saturday in Pennsylvania. I hope everyone else got to their destinations and back without incident for the holiday

This hydrangea only has one bloom this year but it is spectacular
Rose of Sharon fills this little window. I pruned it back to nothing in the spring of 2014. It bloomed fantastic and now is getting way too big for the spot.
