Karen's Story
Well, I guess the older I get the more I feel like revisiting the past. I found this website and thought it would be fun to reconnect with old friends.
After getting married in 1969, to a man from the South, we moved to Illinois where Bill was stationed in the Air Force, as photographer. From there we kept moving South where he retired in 1988, at Eglin AFB, in Fort Walton Beach, Fl. We had a brief moment of insanity and moved back to Ohio. We were long enough to have our two sons graduate from Norwood High. What a trip that was. While we were there our sons gave us the daughters we never had and then blessed us with three beautiful grandchildren.
In 2000, we headed back South. We live in the Florida Panhandle, on what used to be Bill's grandparent's farm. A far cry from Norwood. I feel like Lisa, from Greenacres, actually, that is what we call farm.

f cats and dogs to the mix. I love living out in the country where all I see is land around me. It's a great place to live. Occasionally, we have to visit Cincinnati, so I can get my "fix" of the big city. We were there last March, just in time for the worst blizzard since 1978, we were there for that one as well.
For fun we love to go out on the boat. I'm not much of a "fisher women", but I love the tranquility of the river. We also have a mule (Kawasaki, that is) and we ride around exploring the back roads. If we were hunters this would be heaven with all the deer that frequent the land around us.
I work in the local hospital in the Education Department, as an Administrative Assistant. I also teach classes in weight management in the community.
I would love to hear from some of my old friends and acquaintances from the "good old days." Looking forward to reconnecting with you.
