After high school, I went to Pitzer college in California. After college, I went with the Peace Corps to Cameroon where I met Michel, a Frenchman. We got married and stayed in Cameroon until 1979. en in Newcastle, Australia for 6 years. I did a PhD in behavioral medicine at the University of Newcastle. We then moved to France where we have lived since 1988. I worked in international tobacco control until 2010. I now spend my time painting, playing the piano and other leisure activities. We have 5 grandchildren.
