Karen's Story
I was born in Point Pleasant, NJ, but while growing up I also lived in Spring Lake Heights, NJ and Ocean Grove, NJ. I graduated from Neptune High School, in Neptune, NJ. Other schools I have attended are Brookdale Community College (Lincroft, NJ, studies in Ornamental Horticulture and Respiratory Therapy), Northampton Community College (Bethlehem, PA, Specialized Diploma in Biotechnology & later a two-year degree in Paralegal Studies), East Stroudsburg University (East Stroudsburg, PA, four-year degree in English & Writing), Somerset School of Massage Therapy (Somerset, NJ, NJ certification in Massage Therapy). I am married to the love of my life, Steven Prochacki. We have known each other since we were teenagers, living across the street from one another in Ocean Grove. We have two cats, Mittens and Keyo. We live in Bradley Beach, NJ. My husband is a chef.
My hobbies are genealogy (researching my family tree), gardening, cooking, hiking, letterboxing, classic films, and British comedy.
This year, I am determined to lose weight and get in better physical shape. I walk and I follow a weight training/toning program. I am gradually eating more healthy foods.
My parents have retired up to the Poconos in Pennsylvania, and at some point, Steven and I will move up there to be closer to them.
