Karen's Story
Life
I am Karen Knox-Graham and live in Northern California and have for over 31 years now. I head up an international melanoma research foundation that is named after our son, Billy, who died 13 years ago. I travel the world...a lot and have been working with the World Health Org. I have a surviving daughter that is 36 and two grandsons. I have been married for 31 years to my husband, Dan. We have two cats and a dog. I enjoy gardening when I have time and spending time with my grandkids when I am stateside. I have traveled to the UK/Scotland and England, many times and Italy, Greece, Canada, Mexico, the Carribean, Australia and Hawaii and Alaska. We lived in the San Francisco Bay area for almost 25 years...Expand for more
before recently moving further inland east of Sacramento to be closer to our grandkids. I am very politically involved and work with Oncology groups to assure patient access to drugs and clinical trials as well as public awareness to the disease of melanoma. I am in Washington DC on a regular basis doing advocacy work.
I love animals and have 2 cats and a dog and horseback ride at a dear friends ranch often. I love to entertain and throw dinner parties. Love to cook, but usually don't have a lot of time for it! Family is very important to me and I try to get back to Sidney at least every couple of years. Sidney doesn't change much...and I am a true Californian now and just LOVE it here on the west coast!
