Karen's Story
I left Myers Park High School in Charlotte, NC in June of 1961, and graduated from Metuchen High School, Metuchen, NJ in 1962. I went to Russell Sage College in Troy, NY for two years and then transferred out to University of Idaho, graduating in 1966 with a Bachelor's Degree in Foods & Nutrition/ Dietetics. I married Keith Johnson (Metuchen HS, class of 1962) in the winter of 1995. We have two grown children, and now three grandchildren. We divorced in 1973, but remain good friends. etitian at the local hospital. In 1985, I married again, and have a daughter who is now 23. We divorced 20 years ago, and also remain good friends. I'm now retired and work 10-12 hours a week at the hospital, and have more time to swim, hike and cycle and to pursue my long-term other life, drawing and watercolor painting. I belong to the Watercolor Society of Oregon and Vistas and Vineyards, a plein aire painting group. Along the way, I've painted in Greece and France. Life's good, and I look forward to many new adventures in the years ahead!
