Karen's Story

Life I attended Gannon University in Erie, PA, became a Physician Assistant and moved to Michigan. After working as a PA for a few years, I returned to school, attending Wayne State University Law School from which I graduated cum laude in 1988. I joined my present law firm, Siemion, Huckabay, as a paralegal in 1987, and remained there as an attorney after I passed the bar shortly after graduating. I became a shareholder in the firm in 1996. In 2001, I married for the first time to John H. Faett, III, a divorced father of three who like the majority of people in the Detroit area works in the automotive industry. He coincidentally is from Pittsburgh. We live in West Bloomfield, MI, now by ourselves since his oldest graduated Michigan State and the youngest, a senior in high school, decided he would try to live with his mother for a change of scenery-translated, we were too strict. essed in our careers and in our lives in general. His job responsiblilities have taken him to China and throughout Europe. I have been fortunate to have joined him during his trip to Shanghai and Italy. We are grateful for the blessing God has shown us by our meeting and allowing us to do these special things. I recently ran my first half marathon right here in Detroit. I began training in January of this year. It was very exciting because we ran across the Ambassador Bridge into Windsor, Ontario and ran back into Detroit through the detroit Windsor tunnel which goes under the Detroit River. Also, I'd love to here if there are any classic car buffs out there. We here in the Motor City love our cars. Many people have restored a 50's, 60's, or 70's cars and we cruise them whenever we can. My husband had a '74 vette with a 494 engine that we traded for his dream car, a 1965 Oldsmobile 442. Check out The Woodward Dream Cruise web site to see how many classic cars there are around here. I fully expect to be in Carlisle this June because I am in the market for a '56 or '57 Ford Fairlane myself. I can't let the guys have all the fun! God Bless You.
