Karen's Story
After graduating from Drake, Karen married my Father (1969) and moved briefly to Davenport, IA then Edina, MN where I was born (1970). Things went poorly and after about 2 years there she moved with me back to Chicago to start anew. Karen raised me, her only child, on her own with the help of her Mother on weekends and a few other kind folks in between. She worked in our family business for many years...Expand for more
after having made her start in banking and becoming a bank manager. She enjoyed nearly 10 years of retirement in Northfield before she passed away suddenly in June of 2012, just 5 days after learning she had lung cancer and emphysema. She always spoke so highly of Arlington High School & Drake, and the people she knew back then, and I'd love to hear stories you may have about her.
