Karen's Story
I teach 6th grade math and science to middle school children.
I spent 15 years in the Information Techonolgy industry, from PC support work to server manager for a nationwide network. Burn out job, but I did get a stint in Madrid, Spain for two months in 1998. That was an amazing experience!
I spent many years trying to establish a career as an opera singer. Alas, never could earn enough to support myself...

ce in a Musical" from the SF Bay Area Critics Circle. That was a nice honor.
I have two children Brendand is 9, Jocelyn is 5.
My husband, Jim, and I met at the SF Conservatory of Music (he's a bass player). He and I are long distance bicyclists. I don't race, but I love to do organized rides of 100 to 200 miles in a day. I love riding up mountains, the descent is fun too! ;-). My kids and I ride our bikes to school every day (except when it's raining). I ride road and mountain bikes. I also love hiking, camping, READING, and playing board games.
