Karl's Story
I have been musing lately on how interesting it is that, after years of floating from one area of work to another, I am in a profession that I love and i'm really at the top of my profession. I currently run the Minnesota Radio Talking Book Network, which is the oldest and largest radio reading service for the blind in the United States (24 hours/day, both on digital closed circuit radio and the internet, transmitting by satellite to about 40 other stations around the hemisphere for re-broadcast), and now also president of the Internatio...Expand for more

I have a partner that I've been with since 1991 - though legal marriage still eludes us - and we have a son who came to us when he was 17. He now lives with his partner in San Francisco.
I'm still very active with music. My partner Doug and I have a new musical ensemble, Terra Musicale, that performs baroque music (recorder, flute, bassoon, and keyboard). We're having a blast with it.
And I still perform on stage a number of times per year. Life is good.
