Karl's Story
High school feels so far away! I've not really lived in one place for very long since Bucks County and I rarely go back there. Too bad though, in hindsight it's a much nicer place than I gave it credit for as a teenager.
Anyway, I went to college in Pittsburgh and grad school in DC. I managed a couple of cool internships along the way that put me in different parts of the world...Ecuador for a year, Namibia for a summer. I always liked the international thing so that's the path I pursued in my career. Since it never really brought me back to PA, I've fallen out of touch with most folks I knew in school.

ried. After some time in San Fran, I changed to a company called ARES Corporation and we moved to Houston.
From Houston came an internal transfer to Brazil...my wife is Brazilian so it fit well with her interests. Opportunity came calling though so that bit didn't last long. Now we live in Johannesburg, South Africa....with another move to Australia expected in late 2008.
I started at ARES in a project management role but now I manage most of our work outside North America (explains all the moves). I spend a lot of time on airplanes and make it to most parts of the world.
More important than work though, our second daughter Melissa was born on May 2, 2008. Our daughter Natalia was born in Houston in 2005. Of all the places I make it to in the world, my favorite is still back home to see my girls!!!
