More about Karl:"Loved Boy Scouts as a boy. Eagle Scout. Still love scouting and have served in many scout leader capacities. Graduated from University High in 1967. Joined the Marine Corps and served as a rifleman in Vietnam. Purple Heart. Joined a volunteer Combined Action Program and lived in the villages helping train the Vietnamese.
Returned to Spokane and married Tamy Bromling in 1970. Graduated from EWSC (now EWU) with a teaching degree and taught four years in East Valley School District.
Decided to become a Realtor so Tamy could be a stay at home mom with our six children. Still involved in Real Estate with home sales and land development.
Opened a small Mediation practice to help people and companies resolve disputes. Love doing that and helping people to have a future that is happier. Started doing Workshops and Retreats ( I call them Playshops & Advances) and some Keynote speaking for large and small groups...such as US Postmasters National Convention in Washington DC and 700 Single Adults from 52 different nationalities at BYU Hawaii. ound 500 health professionals. I later became president of that Board of Directors.
Even though I left teaching as a professional, I still have a great love for the profession and ran for the East Valley School Board where I served for 15 years along with several terms as President of the Spokane County School Director's Association. I was appointed to the State School Director's Federal Relations Team for twelve years and enjoyed going to Washington DC to lobby for school kids.
Just celebrated forty years of a sweet marriage and have 6 good kids and 12 wonderful grandchildren with the last one born on July 29, 2010
Number 13 is due around July 29, 2011!
Tamy and I have served in many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We currently are serving as Ordinance Workers in the Spokane Washington Temple every Thursday and Tamy is the Primary President over all the young children in our congregation. She says Heavenly Father really must love me because I'm a grandma and I get to go to Primary every Sunday and be with all the little ones! I am serving on the Stake High Council with assignments with the Single Adults, the Strengthening Marriage Courses and am the Liaison with LDS Family Services. I also have a Ward assignment with the Greenacres Ward and they are such good people! I have grown to love them as I did the Sullivan Ward while I was assigned to them.
Tamy and I have lived for over thirty years in Otis Orchards in an old 1908 farmhouse on some acreage overlooking the Spokane Valley. We have enjoyed remodeling the property to raise kids and grandkids on.
As I learn more I have grown to appreciate my sweet wife more than ever. She is so amazing and so pure! I am blessed to have her as my companion and best friend.
We both have strong testimonies of the unconditional love the Savior has for each of us. We are looking forward to the day we can go serve him full-time as missionaries.".
