Karla's Story
Life
I am currently in my fifth year of teaching at Sweet Home High School, where I teach Freshman English and senior English electives, including public speaking and career development. I also advise the school newspaper and dance team, as well as assist with the school drama productions.
On the homefront, I am married to John L. Manzella of Amherst, NY and I have a five-year-old daughter, Francesca. I also have three stepchildren, Lauren (21), Christopher (19) and Victoria ...Expand for more

Prior to entering the field of education, I worked in public relations and marketing for 11 years. My last position in that industry was as vice president of public affairs for HSBC Bank.
I now live in Western New York, but I previously lived in New York City, Rochester, NY and St. Louis, MO.
I love to run and successfully completed a marathon in four and a half hours; I also teach weight lifting, dancing and yoga at a local gym. Plus, I love to read for pleasure.
