It's hard to put forty some odd years into a few paragraphs but here goes. After high school, I went to college then graduate school. I taught Home Economics (grades 7-12 and community college) for seven or so years in Pennsylvania before leaving to open my first restaurant in Princeton, N.J. It was called "Cafe au Lait" and was desserts, only, plus fancy coffees and teas - long before Starbucks. It did well. Then I opened a health food restaurant. In 1983, I married Tony Seidita and we just celebrated our twenty fifth anniversary. Along the way I had a best selling cook book (Just Desserts) that sold 150,000 copies and was featured on QVC shopping network. I was also featured on "Working Woman" a national TV program. Perhaps you saw it. After moving to the Washington, DC area, I opened a wholesale cheesecake bakery in Virginia. It was the first of it's kind. ...Expand for more
