Karlo's Story
Life
Born in a hospital in Rio Piedras, PR. Claim Gurabo, PR as my home. Been to Ft Hood, Kileen, TX, so mom and I could be with dad after his Basic Trainng. Went to Ft. Sam Houston, San Antonio, TX, twice, once after dad's Basic, and once after Germany (where my brothers where born). After that, WSMR, Las Cruces, NM. After NM, we went to Ft. Clayton, Panama. My real High School was there: Balboa HS. With only 3 years of JROTC, dad got orders to the closed down FT. Benjamin Harrison, IN. I spent my last year in LCHS. TC in my blood, so I sometimes put on the BDU's or my Class B uniform. Baseball in Balboa, but not LCHS. I did do band in both high schools. And then I went home for 8 months before I joined. Went to Ft. Jackson, SC, for Basic, Ft. Gordon, GA for my job title, and Ft. Benning, GA, for Airborne training. I went home and 9/11 happened. Cut my leave short and went to Ft. Bragg, NC. On active duty, I was in a regular army unit my first year... after that, I went to SOCOM unit, where I am today. Been to OEF and OIF already, and things are lookin' good.
