Kary's Story
We married November 24, 1973 and moved to Iowa. Robert was working in a grain elevator and was soon to be one of the managers of a hog confinement operation in New Sharon, Iowa. I was unemployed for 2 months until the local bank called me to come in and apply for a position. I passed the test and was on the payroll working in bookkeeping and then as a teller. We left Iowa in December 1975 and moved to Portales New Mexico for Robert to finish his degree in accounting. He took the CPA exam passing it the first try and then graduated in May 1977 in record time! I worked in Clovis, New Mexico during this time so that he could finish his degree. a private Christian school in Searcy. This move was totally by God's plan. I went to work at the school where the boys attended. They graduated and went on to the University both graduating. I retired in December 2009 after 15 years with the school. I worked part time for Edward Jones Investments where Robert. I am at home making myself available to help take care of our 9 grandkids. Our life is very fulfilling here in Searcy. We stay busy with our family and our friends and church. We do love to travel and hike and garden. I am so very content to be at home now and love the non-stress of my days. God has blessed me to be able to provide for my family when I was needed and He has blessed me to be able to be at home during this time in my life. I am thankful and a very blessed woman!!
