Karyn's Story
Life
I live in Oregon with my partner of 20yrs...I am retired not by choice but by a car accident I had in 1993....I broke my back and had a brainstem injury and also a closed head injury...I had to quit working in 2002 for good. I kept trying to work but my body would not allow me to do so...It took me 2 yrs to recover enough from the accident to re-enter the workforce, never to work again in the field I loved for so many yrs..Construction. I was a General Contractor, I owned my own co. for yrs, very successfully up until my accident...
Even tho I cannot work anymore...I am quite satisfied being a grandmother to my 2 granddaughters,(we adopted our daughter when she was a teen, her mother passed away suddenly and her father died when she was 2 yrs old, she was our next door neighbor for yrs), one turns 6 in oct and the other turns 2 on my and my partners 21 anniversary, all smiles......
We live in the country outside of Portland Oregon in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge area (look it up on the internet) its God's Country....
We have our trusted four legged pals, Keno is our Siberian Husky who is 3 in Oct, and MayMay she is our G...Expand for more
erman Shepherd mix who is 13 yrs old now....we also have 3 cats Tillammok our furoshous male, Patches our sweet soft luvable female and her son Benjamin. They all look alike so they look like PA,MA, and kin too boot..LOL
If you have never been to Oregon you are missing alot and I'm not talking about all the rain they claim we get, we just let people think that so they dont move here...Even tho I transplanted myself here 22 yrs ago, after visiting here, I had to come back and live here, because they have huge fish here... The sturgeon(they also have lips) you can't keep unless they are larger than 3 ft long, the salmon here weight in excess of 30-60 lbs....
You can go to the ocean and snow ski (almost yr round) in the same day if you want...Portland is 5o miles either direction for the best of everything....Portland itself is wonderful...we have the most beer making co's in the world... I think last count was something like over 500 diffent types of beer on tap here...( I personally had to quit drinking 11 yrs ago)...Portland has so many other great attractions you can find almost anything here want to do.....
