Katalin Hollay:  

I was known as Kati Hollai. Born in Budapest, Hungary and escaped the Soviet communist regime in 1956. I was extremely shy and stuttered like crazy. Thank God I have overcome both of that! My best girlfriends were Sherry Beck, Rosa Solorio, Frances Diaz and Sandy Perreria. We hung out at the Nu Pike in Long Beach and loved dancing at the Lido Ballroom with the sailors! I was an art major at South Gate High and went on to continue my major in art at Fullerton College. Lived for a while in South Lake Tahoe, a couple years in Connecticut. Came to Phoenix, Arizona in 1973 and have been lead title examiner for the Arizona State Land Department for almost 30 years. Can't wait to retire December 3, 2012 and move to the wine country in Northern California and continue in my arts ... maybe photography!
