Kate's Story
I am one of the few family law attorneys in the Northern Virginia area that also has a Masters in Counseling. I bring my lawyering and counseling skills to every matter that I handle, applying my enhanced experience to my clients’ benefit. I recently opened our new satellite office in Prince William County, vastly expanding Alternative Dispute Resolution and collaborative law solutions to families in that area.

e Dispute Resolution process. Consider me as the first and last resource for family law matters. Whether as a mediator or in a collaborative divorce, let my strengths be your solution. I am ideal for unrepresented parties or people who maintain counsel outside of mediation or those with recurring communication difficulties.
I am a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and The Leader of the Year for the 2020 class of Leaders in the Law. I am also trained as a Conflict Coach to aid a party or parties when they want to learn how to conduct interest-based communications with the other party so that they can resolve their own disputes. I am regularly recognized in The Washingtonian, Northern Virginia Magazine, Washington, DC and Virginia Super Lawyers and in Best Lawyers in America®. My firm holds the top rating, AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review Rated, from Martindale- Hubbell.
