Kate's Story
Life
Gee....It's been such a long time since high school (it's March 2007 right now).
After high school I went to Business College where I got a certificate in Accounting. I worked a few short-term jobs as secretary/bookkeeper, but soon found myself my first long term job at PGL in Auburn. I played multiple roles there, many of which were going away due to the introduction of computers. When they came in I found myself wondering if I was going to need to start looking for a new job. My boss said he was taking care of it and not to worry.
Then was my introduction to the computer world as he hired me to be one of the two computer operators of the company.

Well, after that I wanted something that had more of a future so I started looking and a friend told me about an opening at Group Health. It took me bugging them for 3 months to finally hire me and I spend 19 illustrious years there.
Then came the budget cutbacks and I was gone.
So, I took a couple of months off for good behavior and decided it was time to go back to school to beef up my technical skills.
I'll graduate from Seattle Central with a certificate in Database Design and Administration in June 2007.
I find myself living in quaint little neighborhood in Orting right now, with no plans to move anytime soon.
