Kathee's Story
Life
I left Wantagh "reluctantly" when my parents divorced/age 16+, moved to New York City for ecstatic couple of flower child years- which primed me for the big breaking away (after attending Wootstock no less!) to Santa Barbara, California (a little piece of paradise on the Pacific) . I have been married for 30+ years to an artist; we have a 25 year old son who is immersed in music events, Djs full moon nights, attends digital sounds arts school, our beloved dogs and cats are now gone and we are in the empty nest mode. I continue making art and writing poetry, became a Jungian therapist in private practice , professor in Depth Psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute. I imagine I am still a rebel at heart, hopefully a more conscious considerate person, still dance up a storm. I love the wild places in nature, swimming, in the sea, photography, movies, wining and dining and good friends. ...Expand for more
I feel grateful, and also have experienced much loss. I miss NY--its in my blood. In touch with some folks from long ago and that has been great.
An age for reflection and reconnections perhaps? Both my parents are gone now. The roots of long ago do stir some nostalgia. Blessings, K

It was post woodstock,came to UCSB and california for ocean and mountain views and art making, boyfriend from NYC came too and we got a dog and I learned about being in nature and years later heartache, tried to become a radical, it was the early 70's and anti- war marches, tried more art study and dance, it was a time of seeking and angst. The west took root in me,I graduated with honors somehow , travelled europe, returned to my dog and a man with a farm. Life was my college really. IT grew me into wanting an MA in psychology (from Antioch University) and I became a creative oriented depth therapist.
