Katherine's Story
Life
I graduated from Montclair State a Spanish teacher. I taught briefly before getting married and moving to Sacramento, Ca. I've been married almost 41 years I have three sons. Two are attorneys and the youngest is a senior in college. The two older sons are both married. I have been blessed with twins grandchildren a boy and a girl who are three years old; their dad is my second son. Now, I will be a grandmother again as my oldest son and wife are expecting their first child and my second son and wife are expecting their third. The family is growing and I am ever so happy and thankful. My husband and I are self employed we own and manage commercial, income property.
I only have fond memories from OHS..especially enjoyed cheerleading, football and basketball games, rallies etc. Fun times in Algebra 2 and chemistry class took a toll on my grades! A few crushes along the way will forever remain nameless. lol
It was great reuniting with my classmates for our 40th reunion in Oct. of 2006 and now look forward to seeing them again for our 45th which will be held on Oct. 15, 2011.
Adding to my story as it is now Oct. 2012; First I have two more grandchildren since I last wrote. A granddaughter, who is one year old and is my oldest ...Expand for more
son's first child and a grandson 11 mos. old who joins his twin siblings who are now 4 and a half yrs old. My youngest son graduated college this year with two degrees in aeronautical and mechanical engineering. He's a smart one and oh so handsome! He found work right away and all three of my sons live within a few miles of each other but...about 440 miles away from me.
Had the 45th class reunion which was fabulous! It was held in Eatontown, N.J. and my trip to N.J. was great seeing old friends and relatives. There were 4 of us who traveled to N.J. from California to attend. Several of us who organized the reunion put in a lot of time and effort but it was well worth it and so appreciated by those who attended.
We look forward to #50 (God willing).
It is now Feb. 8, 2015 and need to update my story once again. We have a new granddaughter born 2 days after Christmas. She joins her sister, 3 and a half years old. These are my oldest son's daughters.
My youngest, 25 yrs. old continues to work as an aerospace engineer; he worked on the Orion space craft at Cape Kennedy which was launched into space in early December. His company provides the parachutes for the recovery missions! So very proud of him and all my sons, of course.
