Katherine's Story
Workplace
After graduating I took time off (should have started college) and met my husband to be. He was a enlisted in Fort Ord. We got married way to soon. After a year he was stationed in Germany. I followed soon after. My second time flying and I had to go solo half way around the world. I have to admit the flight was nice. I landed in Frankfurt and we had to drive north to Bremen. The autoban is great, no speed limit! I spent my first aniversary in southern Germany at Konigsee. It was beautiful, in April it was snowing and the snowflakes were as large as cotton balls. I had my first white Christmas there, it was gorgeous. My first child (Ernest) was born in Bremerhaven in '81, on the north shore. to Los Angeles soon after and as things go bad we were divorced. I stayed here and raised my children alone. They are now 27, 26 and hard working, they take very good care of me.
I have worked a variety of jobs since moving to Los Angeles. I HAVE flipped burgers (so to speak, I worked the cash register), I worked in the middle of downtown Los Angeles for and Executive Suite company, Property Management, and Telecommunications companies. I now work in Encino for a Accounting Corporation for the last 5 years.
I love to play adult coed softball with my children and I love to see my son play mens tournament ball. He has traveled as far as Florida to play in the mens World Championship Tournament. My daughter plays womens softball tournaments also.
All in all my life has been adventurous and I am very happy.
