Katherine's Story

Life To give you a summary since high school, WOW... I started at MCTC, took a year off, went to North Carolina for a semester, finished out at Central, Magna Cum Laude with studying abroad in Africa. During finishing my BA (in psych) I traveled to many places in the US, as well as the islands, and France. I continue to travel and can't get enough of it. Once finishing my BA a few weeks later I was in FL. I have been here since 7/01. I am in the third year of my masters program as a Marriage & Family Therapist w/a specialization in medical family therapy. I will graduate in April 2004. I work full-time as a case manager with dually diagnosed adolescents and their families. I love my job as well as the experience. I remain close with all my friends and especially my family. ong. I really enjoy my freedom and still do. I try to do as much as I can with none of the time I have. I look to keep traveling and finishing my MA. I miss my family and friends but love the hot weather. I continue my journey learning, living, laughing, and loving and meeting many interesting people along the way. I hope you are all where you want to be!!! :) Workplace I currently work with dually diagnosed (mental health disorder & substance issues) adolescents and their families. I help connect families to resources within the community whether it be mental health, financial, job related, etc. I also advocate for my clients' best interests at court, to families, and other treatment providers. I am currently working full-time, going to school, and doing an internship at hospice. I will have my masters in Marriage and Family Therapy come April 2004.
