Kathi's Story
Life
I am married with two grown children Shannon and Josh. They each have three children. My son has a fourth on the way, next spring (08). We live outside Salt Lake City on 6 1/2 acres, with four horses and a grundel of cats and kittens. They just keep showing up! I am retired from the vasrious morphs of the telephone company after 31 years. For the last almost ten years I sold yellow pages advertising. I ride horses some, compete a little and spend alot of time at rodeos and running kids around. My daughter and her husband and three sons are very involved in all things rodeo and livestock. My son, is very much the city slicker. We spend alot of time together on the weekends. My grandkids are boys almost 16, 13, almost 9, 12 and 3 years old. Then we have our granddaughter, 4 1/2. My husband is a forman in the elevator trade and works very hard around "the farm". We bought property with a friend nine years ago and built a five lot subdivision. So there's lots to do around here. He'll be at for years! I also enjo...Expand for more
y scrapping with my sister Carol who lives around the mountain from me. My younger sister Colli also lives part-time near by. My husband was born and raised in Utah and has alot of family who we see fairly often as well. I am also involved with my daughter's kids riding club as well as the association (USWRCA) that we belong to for both theirs and our club.
Sept 22, 2011. Just a quick update: we still have 4 horses and still a grundle of cats and again kittens. My daughter's family is still involved in all things rodeo, the boys are almost 20, 17 and almost 13 and they have now added two girls 8 and 10 to their family. My son now has 4 children, 15, 8, 7 and 3. We still are plugging away at the "farm"...this will never end I fear! LOL! I am now very actively involved in a the health and wellness industry, working with a wonderful group of likeminded men and women sharing the information and inspiring. My husband is still a foreman in the elevator industry and I hope we can retire him in no longer than 5 years.
