Kathi's Story
I dropped out of school in 1967 to get married. I had a daughter Lynn Marie on February 28,1968. I was married to Allen Williams till 1988. We owned Williams Machinery in Westminster until we turned it over to our daughter and son-in-law. We remained good friends until his death in 1995. My daughter and my three granddaughters all live near by. My careers have included actively selling real estate, which I still do on ocassion. I have written and taught courses in real estate law, contracts, finance and appraisal. I served three terms in the Colorado House...Expand for more
of Representatives from 1984-1990. I served as Majority Whip, chair of the rules committee and vice chair of business Affairs. I led the effort and carried the legislation to build Coors Field and bring major league baseball to Colorado. I spent three years as the Governmental Affairs Director for the Colorado Commission on Higher Education. I am currently the executive director of the Colorado Division of Housing and the Co/Chair of the Colorado Foreclosure Prevention Task Force, which created and operates the Colorado Foreclosure Prevention Hotline.
