Kathi's Story

After high school I went to OCC, graduating in 1966. I spent a great deal of time with the Orange Coast YMCA doing programming, camps, etc. I worked for a trucking magazine for several years, met my first husband at St. James Episcopal Church, got married and moved to Boston. Marriage lasted but a few short months. Boston remains in my heart as one of the country's great cities. Upon returning to Orange County I stayed with Ginette Zekaria and went to work for a medical production factory as office manager. I met my second husband and eventually moved to San Diego to be with him. We married, moved back to the OC where I worked for Title Insurance & Trust Company. Our firstborn, Eric, who is now 33, was born in ...Expand for more
Garden Grove. Husband's job took us back to San Diego in 1978. Have been here ever since. Daughter, Jennie (close to 30) was born here. Hubby #2 and I divorced after a valiant try at marriage. We remain friends today. He and the kids are still San Diegans. For the past 23 years I have worked at the University of San Diego as Director of Summer Camps and Conferences. If you have ever been at USD for a summer conference then we probably passed each other. I have been single for over 25 years and I thoroughly enjoy it. Through Facebook I have reconnected with many old friends, include Ginette who I had not seen in over 30 years. We have reconnected and it feels terrific. Visiting San Diego? Give me a call.
