Kathleen's Story

Life Azevedo is the Portuguese form of the name Zebedee, which means "gift of God" in Aramaic. My Dad was brusque and hurt my feelings a lot. He called me Pasquale, because I was always squalling (crying). It means "Easter" in Italian. My Portuguese grandmother, as well as her mother, were each named Maria. My Dad's paternal grandfather was named Joseph. I have 2 great-uncles named Manuel (the Portuguese form of the name Emmanuel, meaning "God is with us."), one on each side of the family. My favorite elementary teacher was Robert (which means "bright fame") Jiminez (H'menes, meaning Priest in Mayan.) My favorite in Jr. Hi was Mr. Shepard.(!) The guys I was most interested in in high school were named Simon and Peter. In BBG, they compared me to the story of Ruth. The summer after my freshman year (UCD), a man who I thought I recognized sauntered to my place of work, a place of refreshment on Taraval, to ask for donations for his favorite charity. I told him I left my purse at home, but would he be in the area tomorrow? He said he would not, and asked if I were that friendly to everyone. I answered, "I try to be!" I had thought he was Johnny Mathis, whom he described as a "sissy", but he told me he was Sammy Davis, Jr.! (Here comes da judge!) My roommate in college (UC at Davis) was named Virginia. Her 2 best friends back home in San Diego were named Mary and Martha. I met Mary, a really funny, naive, dingbat. She looked like a nun, only she wore red lipstick. I dated guys with names like Bartholomew, Thaddaeus, Thomas, John, James, etc. (For those who follow this line of reasoning, Oren Ridenour's middle name is Matthias, and the name Lazarus is the Latin form of the name Eliezer.) One roommate dated an enology (winemaking) major, and he taught us how to turn water into wine (using cornmeal, sugar, yeast and lemons.) After a few weeks fermenting in the bathtub (we all took showers for a few weeks in the other bathroom), we had a brew reminiscent of white R...Expand for more
ipple, and cause for a party! (The things you learn at college!) A later roommate was named Victoria ("victorious one"). She was friends with the entire rugby team. I went to a party with 12 rugby guys, myself and Vickie. Another roommate of a rugby player, an engineering major named named "Laird", (which means "Lord" in Scotch), was also present. We had a communion-type refreshment of a sweet bread and a beverage. (A neighbor and childhood friend was named Phillip, a friend in IL named Andrew & an adult friend in IL whose is Nathan.) My favorite professor was named Yehudi (Jewish) Cohen (Priest). I have one daughter, Anastasia, 31, (which means "Resurrection" in Greek, her initials being AD), who lives in San Diego. My divorce from Ed was final in January. I am much happier, free from emotional abuse. He tried to destroy my environment, but I prevailed. I am simply creating a new "planet" (environment) for myself. My parents said I could choose my own religion because of my mixed heritage. Most of my life has been a spiritual quest. Edgar Cayce died the year I was born, and I wanted my record read. Later I read a book with a veiled promise to read it. I went to IL for an interview, and my test was that he would read my record within 2 weeks to 2 months without my asking, or else he was a charlatan. His wife had not notified him of the appt., but he didn't disappoint me. Within one minute, he began to tell me of things I had done in this life, or had happened to me, or thoughts I had thought, all of which I had told no one about. For him my life was an open book. I was his student for 25 years, perhaps his most devoted student. He died in 2002. My quest includes studying to join the Brotherhood of Saints, Lemurian Branch. Have you read the Mayan prophecies for 2012? Or looked up Ramon Jusino on the internet? Now you know who I really am! Keep in touch! I love you all. Jeez, I feel like Princess Leia! Obi Wan Kenobi, where are you? (That's a joke!)
