Kathleen's Story
I hope they remember me as friendly and optimistic.
I always wanted to be a teacher when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were right, but I went into accounting instead.
It usually takes a lot to anger me. Life is too short to worry about issues. I give them to God and trust in Him to guide me. My favorite way to relax is reading or going to a movie or cooking something special
Since I rarely did anything wild (my parents would kill me) I can only think of the time when Georgia Ferris and I along with several other guys (they know who they are) climbed on top of Wilson pool pump house and watched the guys play tag.. . . that is until the police came and caught the ladies ! The guys got away and Georgia and I were grounded f...Expand for more
or a while. The other thing was going skinny dipping somewhere in MI.
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have mutual respect, support from management, and a good working environment to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
I think of my dad as my hero. He was a wonderful, giving person and loved to do things with the family and his grandchildren. He had to leave school at 14 when his father died, but he eventually finished school and became an industrial engineer. He always taught us to have self respect and to always keep trying.
I grew up in Toledo, spent a few years in Japan, and was never expecting that I would lever eave Toledo. I received a great job offer in Washington, DC and have lived here for 6 years. I am now divorced and looking to move on with my life.
