Please check out my website for Shameless Huskies Kennel and learn about my entering Iditarod 2010! After 50 years in southeastern PA, I moved to Alaska in 2002. I was in Juneau for 6.5 years but moved north to SouthCentral Alaska in November of 2008 since I've gotten into sled dogs. I finished my first Iditarod qualifier -- the Knik 200 on January , 2009. It was -48 and with the wind chill it was -77. To say it was a bitterly cold race was the understatement. Brrr. My second qualifier was the Taiga 300 and my final qualifier was the Klondike 300 where I finished in 8th place; that enabled me to enter Iditarod 2010! I've got two children: Christopher graduated from Stanford in 2014, spent a year in China on a fellowship, and then worked four years for the Center for Applied Linguistics in D.C. before starting graduate school at Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service. My daughter, Laura Larrimore, graduated from Davidson College and married her high school/college sweetheart.
