Kathleen's Story
In 1983, I graduated from C.W. Post with a BA in Music Ed; however, I became a Suffolk County police officer in 1986 and patrolled in the town of Huntington, ironically. I retired after 21 years; I survived breast cancer, and have become a writer. I'm a member of the NY chapter of Mystery Writers of America, the NY/TriState Sisters in Crime, LI SinC (I'm Pres.), the Short Mystery Fiction Society, and the Public Safety Writers Association. I've been married 27 years and we have two children.

book about the unsolved murder of Edwin Cummings, a taxi driver who was killed on Scudder Avenue in Northport in 1955. I am always interested in corresponding with folks who have memories of Northport to share.
My grandmother, an armchair detective who lived two miles from the scene of the crime, told me about the case during my childhood visits to her home. I've been fascinated by the case ever since.
