K I's Story
I was born in northern CA...went to 1-3rd grade at St. Joseph's in Carpenteria (Sta. Barbara County)...moved & grew up in the Los Angeles area.
I attended 4th and 5th grade at Miles Avenue Elementary in Huntington Park. Amusing memory: Around 1969,we, as girls, were allowed to wear long pants (as an alternative to dresses - shorts were still out of the question!) to public school for the FIRST time ever, due to feminist intervention!!!
From 6th to 8th grade, I attended St. Matthias Elementary Catholic School in Huntington Park, enduring the dreaded Ms. Springer my first year.
From 9th to 12 grade, I attended St. Matthias Catholic Girls High School in Huntington Park. I worked in a program that involved tutoring ...Expand for more
students & I was also sent to work at the Army Recruitment Office. I would have joined the military if they hadn't sent me for the test on the wrong day. I never went back!
In between 11th grade & 1988 I took various college classes, but no degree...
I have 2 wonderful children: Russel (born in 1983) & Rose (1987).
From '99 to 2020, I worked as an Rx Tech. Russ is a vape store owner & e-liquid manufacturer in Palm Desert. Rose & I have relocated to the PNW.

Workplace
I have worked in many fields, administrative as well as retail. I was in retail pharmacy for a long time. I now work in tile & hard surface supply as a purchaser.
