Kathleen's Story
Life
After Annville , I graduated from Eastern Ky. University with a degree in Industrial Technology.
While at Eastern, I married Mike Smith. Mike had two children when we married. I became the mean old step-mom at age 23! Not really his kids are great and have given us three grandchildren.
Mike and I have two children of our own. Rebecca is 25. She is a dental hygienist and lives next door to us with her husband,Daughter Kate and dogs and cats.. ith only a couple of minor injuries. He was transfered to Headquarters Battalion at Quantico and now teaches weapons to the new officer reqruites. He and his wife love the Quantico/ DC area. They are expecting their first child next spring! We are so proud of all our children and grandkids.
I work for a small consulting engineering firm here in Lexington. I do electrical system designs for commercial buildings. Mike is semi-retired from the local Electric Company. We have a few acres in the country and he loves to 'pretend' to be a farmer!
Hopefully I can retire in a few years and pretend with him.
