Kathleen's Story

I graduated from CCSU with a BA in English, opened my antique shop in 1986 and stlll run the shop in Plantsville. My hours at the shop are by chance since I do alot of estate and probate appraisals along with moving people into assisted living, downsizing, or whatever they may need. I've had some great estates over the years, working with the Keno's from the Antiques Roadshow, and some of the oldest houses in Connecticut. Many of the homes still had actual decendents from the Mayflower, Civil War, War of the Revolution and some were important people from Connecticut's past. ystic, Ct. This rare and important collection of letters, documents and whaling journals about life aboard ship was purchased by Mystic Seaport. I've had Abraham Lincoln's autograph along with Amelia Earhart, Teddy Roosevelt and so many exciting historical items. I love my job,but the work is hard and very competitive. The most important love of my life is my beautiful daughter Julia, who got married to Kevin, a Waterbury fireman on July 12, 2008 and my perfect husband Greg who has been with me for over 20 years. We were married 3 years ago.So life is good for me. I'm still the same crazy girl I was in school, getting into jams and hopefully making people laugh. Take care and God Bless all of you and old BEHS. Kathy," the chick, where's the palms? "
