lutations became friendly. I'll remember always Miss Smith, very proper, inviting me into school with "Good morning Miss Smith". As I quickly passed her outstretched arm with the all important pass, I would graciously except with "Thank-you Miss Smith". as if we were suppose to know one another only in this way.
