Kathleen's Story
I still live in the area--the house I grew up in! I went to MC-Takoma park for 2 years and then to University of MD, College Park. I am employed by the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and have worked there for 28 years in the Press Office. Met my now ex-husband there and had 2 children--Caitlin is 21 and Timothy is 25. My kids went to Glenhaven and Sligo but not Northwood. They ended up at Einstein because Northwood had not yet reopened.
I had hoped they would graduate from NHS but they are Titans.

I drive by Northwood at least once a week and it has changed a lot. I really miss looking at the old weed-choked Drivers Ed range with the tower in the corner where Mr. Maloni and Mr. Bolyard watched us try to drive that old Ford Falcon! Wish I knew how each and every person from our class was doing. I do see my old buddy from kindergarten, Kathy Ax, everyday. She didn't get far from home either--lives around the block on Hayes.
Sometimes I feel like I am over the hill but most of the time I am grateful for my health,family and good friends.
