Kathleen's Story
Hello fellow classmates of SHS class of 1980. Can you believe it's been 29 years! I have visited this site many times but never took the time to fill out a profile. Hope everyone is doing well and surviving the"real world". As we walked across the courtyard to receive our long awaited diplomas, who could have imagined that we would witness all that we have in the last nearly 3 decades.
These days I spend my time participating in educating the public on disaster preparedness and emergency management. I am currently a training and education specialist and hold the rank of 1st. Lieutenant in my unit. I am also a Homeland Security officer. I just survived my first drill as chief operations officer. Not bad for an old broad! aching I am training. Usually 11 monthes a year. There is always something new to learn and teach and I have been blessed to have had numerous opportunities to meet and work with some amazing and dedicated people. I plan to continue in this direction well, probably forever. I can't imagine doing anything else. Life IS good if you do what you like and like what you do. It has truly been a lesson in humility, compassion, and sacrifice.
I've been married for nearly 23 years to my highschool sweetheart Paul. We do not have any children but are the proud care givers to our dog Elliott, and 2 cats, Andrew and Emmitt. They are our "babies" and best buds.
As time has past I've made lots of new friends but have never forgot the old ones, instead placing them securely in my heart along with other memories of the carefree days of my youth.
