Kathleen's Story

Life Been with the same guy for 28 years now, married for 26. Have 3 kids, and 1 granddaughter. 1 still living at home. Live in the Valley for the past 25 years. We own our home, and 1.25 acres off Knik road near Knik lake area. Moved out of Anchorage to have our "Toys" and dont have to haul them anywhere. We have lots of snowmachines (all Polaris) and we live on Polaris--go riding out of our yard--that way we can go anytime we want. Did have 2 dirt bikes, until 1 decided it wanted to sit on me one to many times. Now we only have 1. We have been to Cabo 2x---Free each time. I like winning trips from the radio stations. Received most of my CD collection & lots of concert tickets that way. Planning a cruise to Mexico in 2007 for that next signifant birthday thats around the corner. Most people I meet dont believe me when i tell them I'm 48, they think in still in my 30's--gotta love it. Must be that good ol' Alaskan living. the cooler in the trunk. Havent been there since my dad stopped racing & my mom passed away. Now its Nascar, my brother drives at NorhtStar speedway in the Late Model class--hes won a few races lately. School HS was fun. the Career Center was the best. Thanks Mrs. Roy. But the rides back to school were better--just like some of my friends -- Parking Lot was the best subject. Had fun with guys, skiing & seeing who had what car and how fast it would go. College Still working on my Bachelors. Only have 4 more classes then I'm done. Workplace Only had a few jobs after hs. all doing the same type of work. Worked nights so I could party afterwards with no problems--that was for a few years. Have worked for Anchorage Sand & Gravel for 25 years all total. Started in '79, gave notice 12/87, went back 9/90 and have been there ever since. Would like to have a summer off, but, construction season doesnt stop even for the IT Department. Did work for 3M in between there--left there, no freedom to explore & grow. Military Nope not for me--only dated them. :)
