Kathleen Martin:  

Kathy (Stafford) Martin is from Gary, Indiana where she graduated from Calumet High School in 1975. She received her B.A. from Indiana University where she majored in Marketing and her MBA from the Fundação Gétulio Vargas. She married her high school sweetheart, the Brazilian pianist, Mauricy Martin, with whom she still loves and shares her life. For those of you who remember Mauricy's arrival to Calumet, it will be 40 years come January. After studying and traveling extensively, the Martin's settled down in Campinas, SP (Brazil). They were blessed with two boys, Daniel and Philip. Daniel is a Chemical Engineer and Philip an Industrial Designer. Kathy worked more than 20 years in marketing and strategic planning functions for major multinational companies of the paper and packaging industry. She has provided consulting services for numerous private schools and has held several leadership positions in local not-for-profit activities where she has been past President of the Board of Directors of the American School of Campinas; past Board member of the Instituto Souza Novaes; past board member of the Sant'Anna International School; and board member of the Community Church of Campinas. In 2010, Kathy launched her own educational consultancy firm, Stafford College Consultants, where she works with Brazilian students seeking to study abroad.
