Kathleen's Story
Life
Born in Tacoma, Washington my family moved to Long Beach, California when I was in the 6th grade. We moved to Concord, California for my high school years. After high school I moved to Reno, Nevada and married in 1965. My daughter Kim was born 7/29/68 and I divorced in 1970. I moved to Washington state, then back to Nevada and ended up in Valparaiso, Indiana in 1973. In 1978 I remarried and "acquired" two more daughters, Lynda and Lissa. In 1979 we moved from Indiana to Parks, Arizona (very small community between Flagstaff and Williams, AZ) and in 1980 at the ripe old age of 34 I gave birth to another daughter, Karalee. In 1984 I again divorced (getting to be a habit...I know!), started working at Northern Arizona University and moved into Flagstaff with Kim and Kara. e while working at NAU and 1988 I married again (yeah, yeah, tell me about it!) In the mean time I became a grandmother to Martin (1987-Lissa), Christopher (1988-Lynda), Johnathan (1990-Lynda), Daniel (1991-Lissa), Shandi (1993-Lissa), Kaelyne (1996-Kim), Jordyn Kathleen (1998-Kim), Eathan (2000-Kim), Shelby (2001-Kim), Maicee (2003-Kim), and Brysn (2004-Kim). I lost Kara to suicide in 1996 and divorced again in December, 1997 at the same time that I graduated outstanding public relations student with my bachelor of science degree. I was with NAU for 21 years and retired early in May 2005. I currently work at the community college in Flagstaff. I have led a very blessed life and have had only one tragedy and a few minor setbacks. I AM married again, and living in Las Vegas, NV. We are doing some traveling and just enjoying life.
