Kathryn's Story

Just finished my second year in an Educational Leadership doctorate program. Only 2 to go. Ha, Ha. I have been in public education for 20 years, the 21st begins in July (now).
After graduating high school and completing one year of college, I moved to Northern California for a new beginning.
I have lived in Northern California since 1984, about 90 miles east of San Francisco. I completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. I have been a junior high and high school teacher for 12 years. I earned a Masters Degree in School Administration and became a junior high and elementary school principal. My school district has just moved me to one of our small high schools as the principal. I am so excited. High school teachers so rock over elementary. I am fortunate to be in love with the most wonderful man I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and we are living a beautiful life together.
I have one child who completed his Bachelors Degree in Business Finance. His dream is to be a police officer. He is just a blessing to have.
My parents are both living. They have relocated to Oklahoma and reside on a 40 acre farm. Dad loves it, Mom, not so much.
My little brother, Brian, took his own life in 1988. I wish things could have been different for him. He is truly missed.
Currently I am in a Doctorate's program in the San Francisco Bay Area. I will earn an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership. I am excited, and I look forward to the journey it will take me.
To each of you, I look forward to hearing from you. I am looking forward to great conversations and remembering the past.
