After numerous years working and helping to start small businesses, I went back to school. Seems I must have really liked it, because I ended up with a PhD in accounting. I now teach accounting at California State University - Los Angeles and really love it. What I really enjoy at work is creating new classes. When I'm not teaching, researching or working on my classes, I love to travel. My latest was a week in Edinburgh, Scotland, where a group of friends rented an apartment for a week and took in all the sights and cuisine. This included a great performance of bagpipe bands and a taste of haggis! Next year maybe another trip to London. 7/8/10. An update to my profile, at the end of last academic year, I found out that I will become a full professor as of September 2010. This last summer, I was elected chair of the accounting department.
