Kathy's Story

Life After graduating from Thurston, I moved to Provo, Utah to attend Brigham Young University. I met my husband, Joe, there. He is originally from Boston. After dating for 1 year, he went on a 2 year mission for our church to Milano, Italy. Six months after his return we were married on August 24, 1982 in the Washington D. C. LDS temple. Joe and I both graduated from BYU with bachelors degrees. Our daughter, Jenni, was born in December of 1983 while we were at BYU. We moved to Boston in 1985 where Joe entered the PGA apprentice program. Our two sons, Rocco and Andrew, were born there. Prior to moving back to Utah, I was working as an executive assistant for a consulting firm in downtown Boston. We had a nanny living with us to help with the kids and the house, but we wanted a lifestyle where I could stay home and we could have more time together. he pro at a beautiful course here called Thanksgiving Point. I've had my own vending business for the past 8-1/2 years. I both sell machines and have my own route. It allows me to be home whenever I want and still make good money. I've recently redesigned my own vending machine, gotten my trademark and am marketing it to the rest of the world. Jenni is 17 and a senior in high school. She will be attending BYU Idaho next fall. Rocco is 15 and plays for the high school hockey team. Andrew is 11 1/2 and also plays hockey. All in all, I feel tremendously blessed and happy. I feel like I have the best husband, kids and extended family I could ever hope for. We have a nice home, live in a beautiful area surrounded by great friends and neighbors. Since joining the LDS church when I was 16 I have felt immeasurable blessings, joy and purpose in my life. I am so grateful. If you're ever in Salt Lake City - look us up. We're the only Ruggiero's in the phone book!
