TV shows Kathy likes include Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, Glee, TV Land. One of Kathy's favorite quotes is:"The distinction between achievement and success is that “achievement is the knowledge that you have studied and worked hard and done the best that is in you. Success is being praised by others, and that's nice, too, but not as important or as satisfying. Always aim for achievement and forget about success.” "Love is a snowmobile racing across the tundra and then suddenly it flips over, pinning you underneath. At night, the ice weasels come." - Matt Groening "It's about heart. It's about feelings and moving people and something beautiful and being alive and it's not about notes on a page. I could teach you notes on a page, I can't teach you that other stuff." -Mr. Holland from "Mr. Holland's Opus" "No matter how rich you become, how famous or powerful, when you die the size of your funeral will still pretty much depend on the weather." -Michael Pritchard "I value the friend who for me finds time on his calendar, but I cherish the friend who for me does not consult his calendar." Robert Brault "Life is not about waiting for the storms to pass...it's about learning how to dance in the rain." Depression is merely anger without enthusiasm. Jeremy Paul Dabbs wrote "Look, as a christian, a LIBERAL christian i might add, i will say that it is absolutely horrible to pray for this administration to fail. If (Pres.)Obama fails, whether you are Left or Right wing,...Expand for more
we all fail. As a nation. Not only that, but if we fail as a country, this whole word fails. This is not the 1920's. It is not just about America anymore. This is about world economic and global beliefs. We all believe (i hope) that democracy is the right thing. Thousands upon thousands throughout this nation's history have died, spilled their blood and stained the ground red fighting for this right. I am absolutely appalled that someone would pray for the failure of our nation's leader. Even as horrible of a president as i thought Bush was, I never once prayed for the failure of his administration. Never. Failure to accept our new president and pray for the success of him, is failure in belief to this nation. It means that the young men and women who put their lives on the line are dying in vain. and i refuse to believe in such a thing. Please, do not pray for the failure of the president, his cabinet, his policies, our troops, our democracy, our freedom. Instead, even if you don't agree, pray that god will lead him in the correct direction. Pray that God is with him signing every bill, or making every decision. Pray that God will place his will into Obama so that he can preserve the Christian belief." "When I say "I am a CHRISTIAN" I'm not shouting "I'm clean living," I'm whispering "I was lost, now I'm found and forgiven"... when I say "I am a CHRISTIAN" I don't speak of this with pride, I'm confessing that I stumble and need CHRIST to be my guide... when I say "I am a CHRISTIAN" I'm not trying to be strong, I'm professing that I'm weak and need HIS strength to carry on... when I say "I am a CHRISTIAN" I'm not bragging of success, I'm admitting I have failed and need GOD to clean up my mess... when I say "I'm a CHRISTIAN" I still feel the sting of pain, I have my share of heartaches so I call on HIS name... when I say "I'm a CHRISTIAN" I'm not holier than thou. I'm a simple sinner who received GOD's good grace, somehow." Faith makes things possible, not easy. Faith can move mountains, but don't be surprised if God hands you a shovel. A little faith will bring your soul to heaven, but a lot of faith will bring heaven to your soul!".
