Kathy's Story
I love working on my house and yard. My favorite place to hang out is the backyard. You can't beat a warm summer day/night, grill going, bonfire, good music and good company.
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have coffee, music, and sunshine to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
What I've learned from my kids? That kids are kids no matter what generation they're from. That they somehow know more than you do (just like we did). I tell them that I used to be a girl before I was their mom.
To be truly happy, you would be where, doing what, with whom? I'd be exactly where I am right now. Wouldn't change a thing.
My current age is 50!?! (wtf). When I was 12, I thought that people my age were really really old. I was so completely wrong, being 50 is alright after all.
Still dress like you did 10 (...Expand for more
or 20) years ago? Yep, still wearing my Levi's.
What's the weirdest job you ever had? That would have to be the last job. I managed a friends Italian Restaurant in town. It was owned by Al Cappone and was a former Brothel back in the 20's. Reputed to be haunted. We had several paranormal television specials filmed there, ghost hunters etc. It was weird and fun. I did get to meet some very interesting people tho.
I share my home with Chris, my son Adam & my Chesapeake Bay Retriever Buster, which I find perfect.
What about you would surprise everyone at your high school reunion? In my off hours I am a plumber. Chris runs our plumbing company and I have been working with him for the last 5 years. I'm not a very fluffy girl. I'd rather shop for power tools than shoes. Once a tomboy always a tomboy.
