Kathy's Story
Life
Moved to Chicago in 1988, living near downtown in the South Loop. Retired October 2008 after a career in State Government, lastly as Facility Manager for the Michael A. Bilandic Building (State of Illinois Building) which houses state agencies, day care center, 1st District IL Appellate Court and IL Supreme Court. Before that worked for the IL State Senate in Springfield.
Married my highschool sweetheart, Frank Robinson (Class of '64). Unfortunately he died in 1969, leaving behind a handsome young baby boy. Our son, Kent, went through a difficult divorce in '08 and was awarded custody of their twins, son, Kyle and daughter, Kendall.

arlie was a friend from "the neighborhood". Ceremony took place at Dave & Lori's surrounded by family and a few friends. We couldn't be happier.
As much as we love Chicago, our plan is to move to Peachtree City, GA within the year to be close to our grandkids.
Springfield sure has changed since we were kids, no more Big Boy or Mama Moe's and her Pizza Sandwiches. Peggy Brown and I used to jitterbug to Sugar Shack nearly every lunch hour at Mama Moes.
I really miss Norb Andy's horseshoes. Even though I have the recipe...it's just not the same....Likewise with B & Z Bakery Buttercakes. After years of looking, Kent finally found a darn good substitute in a Paula Deen recipe.
Enough about me, if anyone is waxing nosalgic.....drop a line....kr
